This is not the vehicle that the VIN is connected to, but it is somewhat similar.

Allegedly it’s a 2006 SLK 350 with 70k on it for $8,000.

So you’re wondering if there’s something in the history that would explain the price?

Not sure what they go for usually, but I do know that there is nothing more expensive than a cheap Mercedes-Benz, and that ones from that era are cheap because it was, arguably, the worst era in the companys 100+ year old history in terms of quality and reliability. This alone, to me anyway, explains the lowish price despite the mileage and how much car it is.

My decoder shows it as a 2006 SLK 280 Convertible. I guess all SLKs had the retractable hard-top at the time, right?

If you're looking for owner/accident history, I don't have that.

2006 SLK 280 that was last registered with 78k on the dash. Four previous owners and no accidents.

Possibly cheap because of pending balance shaft issue. 06 and very early 07 m272 and m273 engines only. Costs at least a few grand to fix. At that price it’s probably rough and needs a lot of work, 06’s tended to be... finicky.
